आज देवीतुल्य, पूजनीय, महान माता आदरणीया हीराबेन जी अपनी सांसारिक यात्रा पूरी कर देवलोकगमन कर गयी। पिछले 8 से भी अधिक वर्षों से राष्ट्र का प्रत्येक नागरिक उनके शुद्ध, सात्विक, गरिमामय, सादगीपूर्ण, तपस्विनी रूप को देखकर उनमें अपनी माँ की छवि निहार रहा था। उनकी जीवनशैली बता रही थी कि वे आदर्श जीवन मूल्यों से ओत-प्रोत, भारतीय संस्कृति का उच्चतम स्वरूप और संस्कारों का अनुपम सौंदर्य थी। उनकी ममता में स्नेह के साथ-साथ वह शक्ति विद्यमान थी जिसने नरेंद्र मोदी जैसा सशक्त, सुसंस्कृत, विवेकी, दूरदर्शी, प्रगतिशील पुत्र भारत माता की सेवा में दिया और जो इसके उपरांत भी एक सामान्य नागरिक की भाँति सादगी से जीवन जीती रही। मुझे उन पर हमेशा गर्व रहेगा। देश के प्रधानमंत्री की माता होते हुए भी हमने उन्हें आम आदमी की कतार में देखा। मेरे हृदय के अंतः स्थल से अनन्त श्रद्धासुमन उनके लिये। भीगी आँखों से भाव-भीनी श्रद्धाजंलि महान आत्मा को। वे ईश्वर का अंश थी सौ साल तपस्विनी का जीवन जी आज उन्हीं में विलीन हो गयी। विदा माता!
